JOB SUMMARY
As a Process Control Engineer, you will create and maintain control software for our AirSCWO™ systems and ancillary subsystems. This will include turning process requirements into a functional software, interface with process engineering, support operations, and support IOs checks during commissioning.
The role will require a combination of office work and fieldwork with approximately 30% onsite presence in Orlando, Florida is expected.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Process Control Engineer, you will perform many tasks related to creating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the control software in our AirSCWO™ systems in preparation and deployment. You will work under our Senior Control Engineer. Some of the specific tasks of the Process Control Engineer include :
- Receive and understand process requirements and design the control software accordingly
- Utilize a high-level language to create logical models, then turned into proprietary PLC code
- Create and maintain Human Machine Interface (HMI) displays using FactoryTalk View SE
- Integrate additional software components into the control system using scripts
- Perform I / O checks and bump tests in collaboration with Electrical and Instrumentation Engineers
- Work in close collaboration with the operations department to continuously improve the control software based on field experience and learnings.
- Be on call during critical operations if not on-site
- Maintain and document version control
