The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion function for The Cigna Group is responsible for the development and execution of the enterprise’s diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies involving engagement with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to shape and advance the company’s policies, practices and programs.
The Advisor, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) will focus on developing and sustaining internal and external partnerships while supporting and enhancing inclusive programs across the organization. The Advisor will serve as a key partner in embedding DEI principles into our strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational values and priorities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Act as a liaison with external organizations, such as advocacy groups, community partners, and industry networks, to support DEI programs and initiatives.
- Identify and leverage opportunities to strengthen the organization’s DEI impact through collaborative partnerships.
- Provide guidance and operational support to design, implement, and sustain inclusive programs that align with organizational goals.
- Provide insights and recommendations for enhancing existing programs and identifying gaps in inclusion efforts.
- Stay informed on DEI trends, best practices, and emerging opportunities, applying this knowledge to improve programs and partnerships.
- Serve as a visible advocate for DEI, contributing to a culture where all employees feel respected, valued, and empowered.
- Respond to organizational needs by offering tailored DEI solutions and resources that address specific challenges or opportunities.
- Assist in the development of communications, presentations, and materials that promote DEI awareness and engagement across the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Human Resources, or a related field, with experience supporting or managing inclusive programs.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, programs, and partnerships.
- Knowledge of DEI trends, frameworks, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience working with employee resource or affinity groups or external community partnerships.
- Familiarity with DEI metrics, analytics, and reporting.
