Software Engineering Senior Advisor - Hybrid

The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Senior Advisor which is a Band 4 Career Track Role with Cigna - Evernorth Services.

Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership in solution design and delivery across multiple delivery teams and stakeholders using tools like confluence, Giffy Diagram, etc.
• Uses strong technical and domain knowledge, combined with strong communication skills, to deliver innovative and robust solutions.
• Guides and influences team members to continuously improve in all areas of practice in all software development phases like development, testing, and deployment using tools like AWS cloud resources, Postman, Jenkins, etc.
• Drives cloud based solution designs that balance the adherence to solution architecture using AWS resources like API Gateway, Lambda, Document DB, CloudWatch and software engineering strategies, security, performance, and the regular timely delivery of high value.
• Implements IT solutions for business processes using event-based architecture using AWS services like Amazon SNS (Simple Notification Service), Amazon SQS (Simple Queue Services), Kafka, and Red Hat AMQ on on-prem.
• Puts the monitoring system to increase the availability and recovery management using tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, CloudWatch Alarms, etc.
• Develops and supports scalable IT solutions in a complex, clustered, N-tier architecture leveraging service oriented and system integration patterns.
• Partial virtual/work from home benefit available.

Qualifications:

• Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field and 2 years of IT experience (or a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field and 5 years of IT experience).
• Must have experience with: developing microservices using Spring Boot; healthcare domain experience; developing stored procedures and queries to generate claim reports; developing XSD for creating contracts for web services for external vendors and internal systems using Oxygen; developing and supporting scalable IT solutions in a complex, clustered, N-tier architecture leveraging service oriented and system integration patterns; developing complex healthcare rules using Drools and Deploy to Decision Manager; enhancing and supporting integration layer on on-prem to integrate different systems using Kafka, RedHat AMQ, Drools, Apache Camel, JDG, Java, My Batis, Oracle, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, and RedHat Fuse; REST API; XSLT; JSON; and XML.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
