Job Description
The Strategic Sourcing Manager position leads the end-to-end sourcing of raw materials for the company. This role involves developing and executing strategic plans by understanding spend and stakeholder landscapes, leveraging market intelligence, industry knowledge, and cross-functional collaborations. The goal is to bring the best possible value to 3A through assurance of supply, quality, service levels, innovation, and cost.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies using domestic and international suppliers.
- BUILD strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Identify, plan, and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain.
- Drive TCO reductions across the supply chain.
- Understand and leverage market intelligence and industry insights.
- Negotiate and implement supply contracts by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on costs, terms of supply, service, and quality.
- Adhere to all relevant guidelines and regulations.
- Estimate risks and apply risk-minimizing techniques.
- Perform cost analysis and benchmarking.
- Analyze and calculate procurement costs and develop cost-reduction strategies.
- Drive purchasing decisions based on total cost of ownership, risk mitigation, and sustainability goals.
- Identify and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers.
- Develop supplier management programs with key suppliers, including metrics, performance goals, and improvement initiatives.
- Optimize sourcing processes to attain maximum efficiency.
- Develop sourcing best practices and document associated processes and procedures.
