NDT / NDI Entry Level, Level I & II Technicians - Full Time Position

ENTRY LEVEL NDT / NDI Technician - No Prior Experience Required:
We will train YOU! If you are looking for a career, this might be for you. A career in NDT is dynamic where classroom training is a must. Qualifications and certifications are mandatory in order to be qualified to inspect. NDT technicians can expect to have to refresh their skills regularly, attend training courses and taking examinations. As a trainee, you will be training toward full certification; all the whilst receiving your full pay!
As a certified technician, you will travel the country, even the world, performing Non-Destructive (NDI) inspections. Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is an evaluation of components, without causing damage or destruction to these components. Our team works in gas and nuclear power plants, paper mill facilities, machine shops, service shops, etc. performing inspections.
Non Destructive Testing/Inspection (NDT / NDI) Technician Job Responsibilities:
- Perform NDT inspection of components of power plants using Non-Destructive Methods
- Set up inspection equipment and tools, conduct tests, interpret and evaluate based on acceptance criteria
- Document inspection findings and results
- Communicate with client representatives on job scopes, schedules and inspection results
- Maintain a good working order of shop facility, test equipment and tools
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation
Non Destructive Testing/Inspection (NDT / NDI) Technician Qualifications:
- Self-starter and value strong work ethics
- Collaborative, teamwork and highly motivated
- Effective communicator, able to communicate verbally and electronically in professional manner
- Have good computer skills and comfortable with Microsoft software such as Word and Excel
- Comfortable working in a high level of noise and high traffic environment such as on a turbine deck in a power plant; working outdoor and indoor and working in tight spaces
- Good aptitude for basic math – necessary for doing calculations related to indications
- Detailed oriented and understand the importance of safety
- Fully vaccinated
Non Destructive Testing/Inspection (NDT / NDI) Technician Requirement:
- Love and willing to travel the country and the world; travel is about 75% of the time.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Have a valid driver’s license & passport
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; some college experience is a plus
- Reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the Albany, NY area
All qualified candidates for this position must be eligible to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship.
