What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Technician position at 3E?
OVERVIEW:
The 3E Value Add Shop specializes in electrical assembly to support 3E’s diverse customer base. Our work ranges from soldering wires and assembling switch components to building complete wire harnesses. Our technicians prioritize quality while efficiently completing various work orders. We are currently seeking Assemblers to join our team in producing high-quality products for our customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Strip wire jackets
- Crimp wire harnesses
- Solder/tin wires
- Assemble and braid cables
- Build components and sub-assemblies for control boxes
- Read and interpret technical prints, wire diagrams, and weld diagrams
- Accurately use a tape measure and perform basic math calculations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of continuous improvement principles
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
- Good eyesight with accurate color vision
- Strong manual dexterity
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is primarily performed in a shop environment, with exposure to electricity and other potential hazards. Appropriate safety equipment and practices must be used at all times.
