3GNY Program Manager – NYC Metro Area / Hybrid

3GNY is a growing Holocaust education non-profit organization. Based in New York City, we are hiring a Program Manager to lead and support our Holocaust education, remembrance, and community engagement initiatives. We offer a meaningful opportunity to support a mission-driven organization, a flexible hybrid schedule, and potential for growth.

About 3GNY

3GNY is an educational non-profit organization founded by grandchildren of Holocaust survivors. As a living link, we preserve the legacies and the lessons of the Holocaust. Our mission is to educate diverse communities about the perils of intolerance and to provide a supportive forum for the descendants of survivors.

Through our flagship initiative, the WEDU ("We Educate") program, grandchildren of Holocaust survivors (“3Gs”) share their family Holocaust stories in classrooms and community settings, making history personal and inspiring students to combat antisemitism and hate with courage and compassion.

About the Program Manager Role

We’re looking for a dynamic and dedicated Program Manager with a strong commitment to Holocaust education, community programming, and volunteer engagement. The Program Manager will coordinate all aspects of our WEDU Holocaust Speaker Program and lead the development and implementation of events that engage our community of descendants and the public. The Program Manager will report to and work closely with the Executive Director.

This hybrid position is based in the NYC Metro Area. Day-to-day work will be remote, with occasional in-person responsibilities for programs, meetings, and school visits.

What You'll Do:

WEDU Holocaust Speaker Program

  • Coordinate all logistics for school and community speaker engagements
  • Communicate with educators and volunteers to ensure seamless and impactful presentations
  • Support volunteer speakers with peer review sessions, speaker meet-ups, and community engagement opportunities
  • Recruit new 3G speakers and support their participation in 3GNY’s speakers bureau
  • Conduct outreach to NYC-area schools and community partners to develop new presentation opportunities
  • Collaborate with Regional Coordinators to support statewide engagement
  • Promote the program through marketing and outreach efforts
  • Track program impact and maintain accurate records

Community Programs & Events

  • Plan and lead in-person events and community programs in partnership with 3GNY’s Programming Committee and Executive Director
  • Handle event logistics from start to finish, including registration, marketing, and follow-up
  • Facilitate occasional Zoom events and provide tech support as needed
  • Create promotional materials and support campaigns via email and social media
  • Build partnerships with local organizations and leaders to strengthen programming

Marketing, Communications & Development

  • Help maintain and update 3GNY’s website and social media presence
  • Respond to inquiries and help raise the visibility of our mission and work
  • Support donor engagement through impact stories, outreach, and occasional event support
  • Assist with sponsorship research for community events and programs

What You’ll Bring to 3GNY:

  • Passion for Holocaust education and the mission of 3GNY
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Experience in nonprofit programming, volunteer coordination, or education
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and work independently
  • Proficiency in Zoom, Google Suite, and social media platforms
  • Comfort with public speaking and community engagement
  • Familiarity with Jewish communal life or Holocaust education is a plus

Hours, Pay, Location: This is a part-time hybrid position, 25–30 hours per week, at $26–28/hour, commensurate with experience. Occasional evening and weekend availability for events is required.
