Job Title: Lead Azure Data Architect

Location: Temple, TX

Duration: Full Time

Senior position for this team, so must have 10 years of experience and strong skills in SQL, Python, Spark, Azure (Fabric, Data Factory, Databricks)… not a Data Engineer role, this is an Architect-level role

Experience and Skills: 

1. A Sr position on his team
2. 5 years in Data Architecture  
3. The more years the better 
4. Going to be mainly using Azure and Fabric  
5. Azure Synapse  
6. Looking for someone who has sufficient experience to work independently and work with offshore resources  

1.     Ability to work with offshore and nearshore teams 

2.     Need to be able to lead the contractors  

1. Need to know data concepts, data architecture, enterprise level data architecture 
2. Concepts like Lakehouse, Cloud Warehouse, Data Modeling techniques  

1.     Star Schema or Snowflake Schema  

1. Needs to be technical – not a project manager, scrum master role 
2. MUST Know SQL, Python, and Spark  
3. A lot of SQL 
4. Python  
5. Azure  
6. PySpark  
7. Databricks
8. MS Fabric  
9. Hands on Data modeling experience  
10. Should of built dimensions and facts  
11. Should know what a Lakehouse is  
12. Need to understand what ETL means (Extract, transform, load)  
13. Must have a degree
