Job Summary :
The Senior Data Analyst will lead datadriven decisionmaking initiatives by collecting analyzing and interpreting complex datasets. The role involves providing actionable insights developing advanced analytics models and working closely with stakeholders to address key business challenges. As a senior team member the analyst will also mentor junior staff and contribute to strategic planning and execution.
Understanding GETS and WPS
GETS : A program designed to provide priority landline calling capabilities during emergencies when the public telephone network is congested.
WPS : A service that prioritizes mobile calls for authorized users during times of network congestion.
Both services aim to ensure critical communication for government officials emergency responders and key personnel during emergencies.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Data Analysis & Insights :
o Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends patterns and insights that drive business decisions.
o Create dashboards visualizations and reports to communicate findings effectively.
2. Business Collaboration :
o Work closely with crossfunctional teams (e.g. marketing finance operations) to understand business needs and provide tailored analytical solutions.
o Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and actionable manner.
3. Advanced Analytics :
o Develop and implement predictive models segmentation strategies and statistical analyses to support business objectives.
o Use advanced tools and techniques such as machine learning statistical modeling or optimization algorithms.
4. Data Management :
o Ensure data integrity accuracy and consistency across different systems and platforms.
o Collaborate with data engineering teams to design and maintain scalable data pipelines.
5. Continuous Improvement :
o Stay updated with the latest tools technologies and best practices in analytics and data science.
o Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative solutions.
Qualifications & Skills :
Required :
Bachelor s degree in data science Statistics Mathematics Computer Science or a related field.
5 years of experience in data analysis or a related role.
Proficiency in SQL Python R or similar analytical tools.
Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau Power BI or Looker.
Strong understanding of statistical techniques and predictive modeling.
Excellent problemsolving and criticalthinking skills.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
Preferred :
Master s degree in a related field.
Experience in cloud platforms like AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop Spark or Snowflake.
Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g. Agile Scrum).
