The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Key Account manager -OEM, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by :

  • Determines Directions & Strategies to drive partnerships with brands
  • Manage existing US / Canada Key Accounts (apparel brands) for sale of 3M Thinsulate and Scotchgard solution. Increase penetration of spec in dollar per product.
  • Identify New Key Account (US / Canada) (apparel brands,) to introduce 3M Thinsulate & Scotchgard solutions educate them of the unique benefits and applications to Spec in our products.
  • Work closely with APAC team, where most of the brand suppliers are located, to ensure seamless supply chain operations and timely delivery to factories.
  • Supports 3M Marketing team to drive for more co-branding marketing events, leveraging 3M's brand equity and expertise to create mutually beneficial promotions and campaigns.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, Textile Engineering (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Five (5) years of experience in the textile & apparel market, with a proven track record of success in sales and account management in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include :

  • Experience dealing with key accounts, including negotiating contracts, managing relationships, and achieving sales targets.
  • Experience in collaborating with supply chain partners, preferably in the apparel application of sports or outdoor industries.
  • Clearly goal-oriented, with a strong self-driven principle and the ability to work independently and as part of a team; Strong analytical & communication skills.
  • Work location : Homebase at Portland

    Travel : May include up to [ 80 % / 20%] [ domestic / international]

    Relocation Assistance : May be authorized

    Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
