Here, you will make an impact by : Managing and coaching key account sales team members to grow 3M business and relationships with the Tesla accountExecuting established sales process to increase sales and future opportunity pipelineEnsuring that opportunities are successfully translated from the design-in decisions to sourcing decisions and product sales at all locations globally and throughout the supply ecosystemDriving adoption of tools and initiatives to replicate successful opportunities from other customers to Tesla, gain competitive conversions, and win launch fix opportunities with 3M solutionsProvide input to the strategic account commercial leader to the future account strategyCompany VehicleThis position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this positionYour Skills and Expertise  To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications : Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionSeven (7) years or more of combined sales and / or automotive experience in a private, public, government or military environmentCurrent, valid Driver’s LicenseAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include : Master's degree in business, engineering or manufacturing from an accredited institutionFive (5) years or more of automotive sales experience in a private, public, government or military environmentStrong communication, leadership and coaching skillsExperience with direct people managementDemonstrated capability to effectively collaborate across cultures and geographiesExperience with platform planning and proficiency with CRM systemsSelf-motivated and very comfortable working in automotive environmentsAbility to indirectly deliver sales results through a team and oriented to work within a highly matrixed internal and external organizationExperience in long-term selling cycles to large, global, complex, multi-disciplined key accountsWork location : Remote in California or Austin, TXTravel : May include up to 25% domestic / internationalRelocation Assistance : May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
