The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Manufacturing Systems Engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by :
- Leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of software systems that integrate with the upper level manufacturing and business data systems and the lower level control systems used to manufacture 3M products
- Leading and contributing to key transformational programs : Data Analytics, Connected / Digital Factory, Total Productive Maintenance, Equipment Reliability, Process Safety Management Technology
- Supporting development and adoption of company best practices for software and process technologies to enable commercialization and value stream improvement. Support and champion user groups as required
- Communicating project status and issues to the project stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and achievement of project milestones
- Determining gaps in self-development and expand extensive high-level troubleshooting capabilities to provide tactical support for day-to-day manufacturing operations
- Willingness to support weeknight and weekend escalation as needed through team on-call process
