The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As the Pilot Plant Manager you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by :
- Leading the Pilot Plant team to support 3M in driving improvements through alternate sourcing, quality, OEE / yield and capacity expansion.
- Active and visible EHS ownership to ensure site compliance, stewardship and championing continuous improvement efforts to improve all aspects of EHS.
- Partnering with 3M product development teams across 3M to rapidly test, prototype and scale-up products in the pilot plant.
- Accountable for strategic planning and budgeting to drive sustainable improvements in factory costs through, entitlement thinking, yield improvement, plant productivity and capital planning.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and methodology to drive employee engagement and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on TPM, 5S and Standard work.
- Managing supply chain execution and inventory management to ensure appropriate supply chain performance through responsiveness, delivery performance, capacity management, supplier management, and appropriate inventory management.
- Engaging the community by representing 3M in community affairs as appropriate and foster good public relations in the local community.
