Summary of Position :
The Senior Technical Sales Engineer is a seasoned professional with the expertise to lead complex technical sales initiatives. This role involves creating innovative solution designs, mentoring junior engineers, and serving as a trusted technical advisor to customers and internal stakeholders.
Essential Functions :
- Oversee complex Deal Qualification processes, providing expert assessments of technical feasibility
- Lead advanced Feasibility Testing, ensuring innovative designs meet customer specifications
- Manage end-to-end Demo / Proof of Concept (PoC) setups and deliver presentations to clients
- Act as a trusted advisor in Presales Support, solving advanced technical challenges for customers
- Develop comprehensive Project Scoping documents, collaborating with multiple stakeholders
- Design innovative Solution Designs for large-scale or high-complexity projects
- Ensure Bill of Materials (BoM) accuracy, factoring in cost optimization and scalability
- Mentor junior engineers to drive performance and support Revenue and Margin Goals

Work Environment :
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position frequently communicates with other co-workers / clients who have inquiries about the various projects and other needs. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. The employee in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operate a computer and office machinery such as a calculator, keyboard, copy machine and printer. Frequently moves boxes with equipment weighing up to 25lbs across the building and / or to other offsite buildings for various project needs.
