Title : Chief People Officer
Location : Greater Sacramento area
Reports to : CEO
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a gap analysis on the business and develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with the Company's business strategy.
- Partner with the CEO to design a compensation strategy (e.g., setting cash compensation bands)
- Support the Company's current and future business needs through a talent management strategy that facilitates the attraction, recruitment, development, engagement, motivation and retention of talent. Strong focus on philanthropy within the local community.
- Support the team through expansion via a more structured approach to career development within the business.
- Administer the performance evaluation process in alignment with the Company's strategic goals and Culture. Work with Company management to ensure the effective and equitable application of employee evaluations and performance improvement plans.
- Integrate an employee engagement approach into the HR strategy, including an internal communications plan.
- Leverage HR and business best practices. Consult with outside legal counsel in matters of employment practices and corporate policies to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations. (e.g., OSHA, EEO, FMLA, CFRA, Workers' Compensation, ERISA, FLSA, Wage & Hour)
- Responsible for all employee related compliance for both Federal and State regulations.
- Annual review and update of company handbook and job descriptions.
- May assist in the processing of executive payroll and other payroll support functions.
- Various projects and tasks relating to Human Resources
