Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Service Desk Agent to serve as the first point of contact for users contacting the IT Service Desk. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, empathetic, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional phone support to end-users by:
o Listening attentively to understand customer issues
o Demonstrating empathy and urgency to resolve concerns
o Documenting detailed information on incidents and problems
o Managing conflict in a professional manner
- Deliver high-quality technical support related to enterprise hardware and software
- Handle incident assessment, triage, research, and resolution in a 24/7/365 environment
- Offer after-hours and weekend support as needed
- Support end-users across various platforms via phone, chat, or in-person interactions
- Build rapport and trust with end-users by communicating clearly and promptly
- Ensure timely resolution or escalation of issues based on business impact
- Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues; perform installations and repairs
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions, even under challenging situations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2β5 years of related experience in a technical support role within a complex, fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
