Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee and coordinate daily warehouse shipping activities, manage inventory control, and ensure efficient processes within the shipping department.
Job Title: Shipping Supervisor
Location: Stokesdale North Carolina 27357
Shift: Morning - Mon to Sat 11.00 am to 7.00pm
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of shipping associates to meet operational goals
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Implement and maintain best practices for inventory management and control
- Oversee the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) for efficient shipping operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve shipping processes and resolve any issues
- Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company standards
- Train new employees on shipping procedures and safety protocols
- Monitor shipment schedules and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Qualifications
- Proven experience in e-commerce shipping, inventory management, and process improvement
- Familiarity with AS400 or other warehouse management systems
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed in a warehouse environment
- Knowledge of 3PL operations is a plus
- Strong leadership skills with previous experience as a warehouse supervisor
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment with changing priorities
