Position Summary
The Community Retail Manager establishes a community presence by representing 3Rivers in local organizations and events that impact our members. Provides advice and assistance regarding budget counseling, consolidations, pay methods, and other areas relating to member’s financial needs. Evaluate alternatives to ensure the solutions provided and products recommended are in the membership's best interest. Incorporates project management to balance priorities & participation in 3Rivers initiatives and knows when to start or stop activities as needed. Manages the deposit, ancillary and lending processes, evaluates need, sells products, and maintains knowledge of internal and competitor trends (rates, terms, etc.).
Knowledge Requirements
- Strong community presence
- Successful history of developing long-term relationships with local businesses and centers of influence
- Professional appearance and demeanor, good interpersonal relations skills, and positive and optimistic outlook.
- Ability to interact with the public in a manner that promotes the interest of the Credit Union.
- Strong knowledge of consumer lending
- Understanding of commercial lending and underwriting of loans
- Consistent history of successful production
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with management, peers, employees, and vendors.
- Good understanding of financial institution products and services.
- Strong analytical, project management,t and presentation skills
- Knowledge of markets, competitor activities, problems, and developing trends within assigned area
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Adheres to all federal, state, and credit union regulations and policies.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- A college degree in a business-related field preferred
- 2 years minimum experience in relationship building and outside sales calling, required
