Position Summary
The Compliance Specialist is responsible for timely execution of compliance management efforts, as well as facilitating and assisting with compliance related matters and projects. In addition, they prioritizes to ensure BSA and OFAC regulatory compliance are in alignment with the needs of 3Rivers. Conducts and verifies OFAC scans of existing members to ensure party is not on the Specially Designated Nationals List (SDN). Analyzes and follows case management of alerts through Financial Crime Management software.
Reviews established compliance procedures for effectiveness and utilization by team members. Partners with team members when changes need to be implemented. Leverages resources by monitoring cash transactions and filing of CTRs and submitting them to a government agency to safeguard against potential money laundering and other financial crimes.
Administers enhanced due diligence as appropriate.
Knowledge Requirements
- Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, US Patriot Act and other applicable laws and regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- PC Proficient (including MS Word and Excel)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and problem solving skills
- Willingness and ability to learn on the job
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Adheres to all federal, state and credit union regulations and policies.
