Position Overview
We are seeking a Compliance Coordinator to oversee the implementation of a consent decree for The County and The County Sheriff's Office. This role will work closely with the court-appointed monitor and report equally to the attorneys for The County and The County Sheriff's Office.
Key Details
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Compensation: $42.00 per hour
- Duration: Initial 2-year engagement with potential for extension
- Location: On-site presence required
Primary Responsibilities
- Collect information required by the monitor
- Coordinate compliance and implementation activities
- Facilitate provision of data, documents, and access to personnel
- Ensure proper maintenance of documents and records as per the consent decree
- Assign compliance tasks to appropriate County or Sheriff's Office personnel
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge and experience in correctional facility operations, preferably in pre-trial detention
- Project management expertise
- Strong background in software implementation management
- Supervisory experience
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to understand and communicate with diverse stakeholders
Preferred: Juris Doctorate or law enforcement training/experience
Reporting Structure
The Compliance Coordinator will report equally to:
- The County Attorney
- Sheriff's Chief Legal Counsel
Performance evaluation and selection will be jointly supervised by both parties, with disputes to be mediated by the Monitor.
