Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and professional Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will transport a variety of goods and materials from one location to another. The ideal candidate has experience driving dump trucks and makes safety a number one priority. Truck driver will be responsible for operating dump trucks to transport materials to and from construction sites and performing various labor tasks to support construction projects, you will plan the most efficient route, ensure adherence to delivery schedules, and perform routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance. This role requires a combination of driving skills, physical labor, and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Pick up materials such as dirt, gravel, broken concrete and asphalt to and from construction sites in one location and transport to another location.
- Perform routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Plan the safest and most efficient routes of travel.
- Maintain detailed driving log, including work periods, rest periods, and fuel expenses.
- Comply with all company policies and driving laws.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- At least 2 year previous proven experience as a Truck Driver.
- Valid commercial class A driver’s license (CDL)
- Graduation certificate from trucking school is preferred.
- Familiarity with GPS systems, CB radios, and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) technology.
- Understanding of all relevant truck driving laws and regulations, quarries rules and procedures when entering/picking up materials at plants.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and machinery is a plus.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Spanish speaking a plus.
Salary : $25 - $30
