4 Corner Resources is looking for a Health Information Tech in the Ocala area. This would be a 3-month contract with the potential to be extended or converted to permanent based on budget and performance.
The Health Information Tech primary responsibility will be to support the objectives of the Health Information Management (HIM) department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and contributing to quality reporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of all medical records.
- Maintain organized and secure electronic and paper filing systems.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist in achieving HIM department objectives through timely and accurate record management.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to facilitate efficient record retrieval and documentation.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to review records for quality assurance and compliance reporting.
- Identify discrepancies or issues in medical records and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients, caregivers, and staff regarding medical record inquiries and procedures.
- Maintain professional and courteous interactions to ensure patient satisfaction and compliance with organizational policies.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and organizational requirements.
- Support the implementation of HIM policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Proven experience in medical records management or a related field.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred.
- Certification in Health Information Management a plus.
