Job Title: Paralegal - Healthcare Contracts
Location: Lower Manhattan, New York (Hybrid: 3 days on-site)
Salary Range: $35 per hour (based on experience)
Introduction:
4 Corner Resources is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to support the Legal department for a well-established healthcare client located in Lower Manhattan. This hybrid position requires the candidate to be on-site three days a week, and the role has the potential to transition into a permanent position. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience, a strong understanding of healthcare contracts, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of recent paralegal experience.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Strong knowledge of Federal and New York laws, especially healthcare regulations.
Expertise in contract agreements, specifically Provider, Management, and Vendor contracts.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, partners, and staff.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal software.
Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
Professional writing skills for emails, letters, policies, and job aids.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Experience working in a healthcare-related environment (e.g., health insurance plans, managed care organizations).
Experience with contract management systems (such as Icertis) is a plus.
Administrative experience within a law firm or corporate legal department.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and revise healthcare contracts and amendments for Providers, Management, and Vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Track and manage contract amendments, terminations, and regulatory approvals.
Provide administrative and project management support for special legal projects.
Serve as a departmental point person for implementing contract management tools.
Assist with the preparation of documentation for contracts, settlement agreements, and evidence.
Maintain organized case filing systems and assist with administrative tasks such as answering calls and scheduling.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues related to contract agreements and vendor relationships.
Assist with training and internal communications regarding contracting processes.
