The Production Planner performs several key roles as part of the plant operations team. They are the primary liaison between the sales team and the production floor. They compile all job estimate information to form the most cost-effective plan to produce products, create department production instructions, and meet client expectations. A successful Production Planner builds relationships with multiple teams across the organization and is driven by a desire to exceed our customer’s expectations.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, or similar. This is an on-site position requiring the employee to be present physically.
Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 Annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Serves as the main point of communication for our sales team, addressing, responding, and following up on inquiries and requests related to jobs they are overseeing
- Review estimates and client requests to plan production for individual jobs
- Generate production tickets for each manufacturing department based off job specifications
- Lead production planning discussions on how to successfully execute client
- expectations
- Communicate with clients to better understand job requirements, obtain proof approvals, notify of production schedules, or manage change requests
- Assist in developing and maintaining schedules according to customer needs
- Coordinate logistics plans with the shipping supervisor and external vendors to meet client deadlines
- Understand costs associated with projects and reconcile before customer invoicing occurs
- Work closely with the Production Manager / Plant Manager and support ad-hoc requests
- Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s)
- Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Attend all department/company meetings

EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES:
- Three (3) years of print experience: Project Manager, CSR, Account Manager, Production Planner, Print Estimator
- One (1) - three (3) year of Print Production experience
- Two (2) - three (3) years experience of working in a customer service role
CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
- Project Management: Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and ensure deadlines are met.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with internal/external clients, and production teams.
- Analytical Thinking: The ability to analyze production processes and optimize them for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
