Job Summary
4Rivers Equipment is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on all types of heavy equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including engine rebuilds, axle reconditions, and hydraulic valve repairs.
- Analyze parts reusability, order parts, and keep track of machine status to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Record equipment hours, serial numbers, complaints, causes, and corrections to maintain accurate records.
- Perform machine inspections and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Mentor and train other technicians and apprentice technicians to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Attend company-sponsored training to develop skills, knowledge, and expertise.
- Keep service trucks and all company assets repaired, safe, and maintained.
- Observe all safety procedures of the company and of customers.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Vocation or technical degree, or equivalent work experience or training.
- Strong communication skills and self-motivation.
