Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver / Maintenance person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting equipment to various locations while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to navigate routes efficiently, and a commitment to safety. You will also be in charge of helping maintain the store which includes helping clean up, mowing the lawn, moving equipment etc.
Duties
- Safely operate truck and trailer , to transport equipment to designated locations.
- Load and unload products using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and delivery confirmations.
- Assist in operations as needed, including moving inventory and organizing stock.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in route driving or delivery services is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Experience operating a skid steer, forklift, or similar equipment is a plus.
- Ability to load and unload products safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with moving goods.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
