Office Requirement: Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 remote)

Reports to: Talent Acquisition Manager Amount of Travel:  As needed (if hire is located in Knoxville, quarterly travel required to Silverton Headquarters Atlanta, GA)

Salary: (L13) $85,169-$106,461

JOB SUMMARY  

The Recruiter III oversees the full spectrum of sales recruiting and talent acquisition for Mortgage Loan Officers who can drive revenue growth and contribute positively to Silverton Mortgage’s success. This role provides the plans and guidance for identifying, assessing, and hiring top talent into the MLO role. As a leader in the recruitment space, the Recruiter III serves as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, delivers an exceptional candidate experience, and consistently meets or exceeds key performance indicators (KPIs).   

 

JOB FUNCTIONS  

 

Talent Acquisition of MLOs 

  • Leads the development and execution of Talent Acquisition strategies for the Mortgage Loan Originator role, ensuring there are candidates to fill existing vacancies and a pipeline of qualified candidates available for future vacancies 

  • Serves as a Trusted Advisor to hiring managers, providing guidance and solutions to address their hiring needs, inform them of market trends, and ensure seamless alignment between talent acquisition practices and business objectives. 

  • Partners closely with sales leadership to understand specific needs of the sales team and develop tailored recruiting strategies. 

  • Fill approximately 10-15 Retail MLO roles and 10 -15 Properties MLO roles per year. Forecast hiring needs with VP of Sales before a new fiscal year; conduct quarterly check-ins on hiring goals and pipeline status.  

  • Ensures Talent Acquisition practices incorporate Boundless diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging principles.  

  • Ensures strict compliance and operational efficiency in the review of employment applications, background checks, and drug screens, safeguarding the organization against potential legal, financial, or reputational risks. 

  • Identifies and resolves complex challenges within the MLO recruitment process, addressing systemic issues and implementing solutions to ensure alignment with company strategy and mitigate risks with critical departmental impact. 

  • Conducts full-cycle recruiting by utilizing various sourcing methods to identify and attract top talent, leveraging all communication channels to engage high-performing MLO’s, including social  media, email campaigns, phone calls, direct  mail, in-person meetings, Zoom, etc. 

  • Builds a candidate profile with branch managers and VP of Sales as well as a stable pipeline of highly qualified MLO candidates.  

  • Seek and build relationships with top talent for current and future job openings, including direct calls, networking, posting and engaging on social media, sourcing candidates from various geographical areas, professional communities, alternate industries, diverse groups, hiring and community events, job boards, etc. 

  • Utilize the NMLS database to identify and contact candidates with desirable production rates and targeted geographic location. 

  • Maintain pipeline throughout the year; prioritize candidates with availability in the short-term and nurture relationships of qualified candidates who may take a few months to close.    

  • Conducts in-depth pre-screen, phone, in-person or virtual interviews to assess a candidate’s qualifications, sales skills, motivation and cultural fit. 

  • Provide detailed feedback to hiring managers and ensure timely communication with candidates. 

  • Administers Caliper personality assessment to potential hires and provides insight to Hiring Manager on results since hiring errors could have significant organizational consequences. 

  • Oversees the offer process, ensuring alignment and collaboration among HR Generalists, hiring managers, and key stakeholders. 

  • Partner with Branch Manager or VP of Sales to to develop closing strategy for candidate (i.e., if candidate can bring pipeline, draw for leaving a pipeline) during the offer process.  

  • Negotiate job terms, conditions and compensation package with MLOs with guidance from hiring manager or VP of Sales.  

  • Explain the offer process, typical compensatin package (draws, repayments, etc.) to new branch managers.   

  • Conducts reference checks, confirms candidate credentials, and gathers additional information about candidates as requested by hiring managers. 

  • Partners with HR Operations to ensure seamless onboarding and integration of new hires, mitigating risks that could result in critical disruptions to team performance and organizational outcomes. 

  • Designs and implements scalable, data-driven processes and programs to achieve ambitious hiring goals and address evolving workforce planning needs, mitigating risks of recruitment gaps that could critically impact operations. 

  • Serves as the company’s brand ambassador at national career fairs, industry conferences, and specialized recruiting events, targeting critical talent segments and enhancing the company’s employer brand.  

 

Talent Acquisition for Non-MLO roles 

  • Mentor and guide, as needed, VMF Recruiters handling staffing needs for Silverton’s operational roles.  

  • Support Talent Acquisition Manager in hiring for management career stream roles if needed.  

 

Talent Acquisition Operations 

 

  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition Manager to contribute to recruitment process improvements and implement best practices. 

  • Identifies, designs, and implements innovative strategies to enhance the candidate experience and streamline the hiring process for MLO candidates, solving challenges that directly impact recruitment success and employer brand reputation. 

  • May lead the design, implementation, and management of high-stakes Talent Acquisition initiatives for Silverton sales roles, including developing workflows, SOPs, policies, and performance metrics that drive organizational efficiency and recruitment success. 

  • Foster strong relationships across the Clayton Enterprise Business Unit Talent Acquisition teams to share and implement best practices, enhance collaboration, and drive recruitment excellence. 

  • Assist in managing recruitment projects to support the company’s growth initiatives in the absence of the Talent Acquisition manager. 

  • Stay up-to-date on sales industry trends, competitor hiring practices, and the evolving needs of the sales workforce.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS 

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Management, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of advanced education and extensive professional experience. 

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition field required; experience recruiting MLO’s preferred; proven track record of managing complex recruitment challenges and delivering results in high-impact roles required. 

  • Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging advanced recruitment technology and analytics, including mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), to enhance process efficiency; Workday experience preferred.  

  • Exceptional communication skills, with expertise in delivering clear and compelling messaging via phone, email, and in-person interactions across all levels of the organization. 

  • Proven ability to analyze complex problems, gather and interpret data, evaluate alternative solutions, and develop sound, strategic recommendations. 

  • Expertise in managing multiple, high-stakes priorities with competing deadlines, ensuring flawless execution and delivery under pressure. 

  • Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills, enabling efficient management of large-scale recruitment initiatives with minimal oversight. 

  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams and with external stakeholders. 

  • Demonstrated ability to foster strong partnerships and maintain long-term relationships with hiring managers, vendors, and external partners.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. 

  • Will be constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. 

  • Will be communicating 90% of the time over the phone. 

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times. 

  • Must be able to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process. 

  • Will constantly work in a state-of-the-art indoor temperature controlled, sealed window office environment.
