GENERAL INTRODUCTION:
The Archbishop, visible principle of unity in his archdiocese, is called to build up the particular Church unceasingly in the communion of all its members, and to ensure that their diverse gifts and ministries, in union with the universal Church, serve to build up all the faithful and to spread the Gospel. (Apostolorum Successores 8). He must take care that all the affairs which belong to the administration of the whole archdiocese are duly coordinated and are ordered to attain more suitably the good of the portion of the people of God entrusted to him.” (Apostolorum Successores 177).
Each position employed in the Chancery helps to extend the ministry of the Archbishop in particular ways as outlined in the position description.
General Summary of Essential Purpose:
The Summer Intern will support the Lifelong Formation team in the ministerial areas of Faith Formation, Youth Ministry, Young Adult Ministry, and Marriage and Family Life.
This summer position will be dedicated to helping the team complete the following projects:
This is a seasonal position with a projected start of mid-June of 2025 and end date of Mid-August of 2025 (10 weeks). The position is fifteen hours per week.
Essential Position Duties:
Communications and Outreach

Developing an effective social media approach for youth ministry, expanding the social media reach and creating a summer social media campaign for young adult ministry.
Parish Family Outreach
-
Update and build contact lists, user groups, and rosters for each of the Lifelong Formation ministries.
Website Updates for Youth Ministry
-
Expand upon the current content in the resources section for youth ministers, providing input on helpful material for youth section.
Supply Consolidation and Organization
-
Support the supplied consolidation project by transitioning the remaining supplies from the 907 building to new storage areas.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Primary:

Willingness and ability to support the mission of the Church by extending the ministry of the Archbishop.

Ability and desire to use God-given gifts and talents in service of the local Church in support of the collaboration between lay and ordained Ministers.

Familiarity of the Catholic Church.
Education and Experience:

Basic understanding of MS Office tools.

Strong self-motivation, positive, winning attitude, and energetic.

Attention to detail.

Ability to handle and respect confidential and sensitive information.
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
