Description
Collaborates with DPM to develop and implement Faith Formation Programs for preschool, elementary, junior high, senior high students, and adults. Oversees and facilitates Sacramental Preparation Program in collaboration with appropriate groups and individuals in the parish family. Collaborates with DPM implementing pastoral leader’s objective to provide quality liturgical celebrations and experiences for members of the parish family at Assumption, Our Lady of the Lake, St. Bridget and St. Catherine churches.
II. ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
A. Collaborates with DPM, pastoral leader, staff, and consultative bodies in implementing the mission of the parish.
B. Administers the implementation of a comprehensive plan for faith formation for all age levels, including sacramental preparation, in collaboration with DPM and pastoral leader.
C. Administers the Sacramental Preparation programs (OCIA, OCIC, Baptism, children’s Sacraments, student and adult Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation) with current staff, volunteers and consultative bodies.
D. Ensures coordination with the designated Administrative Assistant to confirm all Sacraments are recorded for the NE Seattle Catholic Parish Family.
E. Collaborates and plans with DPM to implement programs in support of faith formation (moms’ group, men’s fellowship, marriage preparation, school programs, special event, workshops etc.).
F. Plans and organizes coursework and prepares for and teaches classes when needed in specified areas.
G. Recruits, trains, motivates, and provides general and specific direction to volunteers involved with faith formation activities, sacramental preparation, liturgy, and related programs.
H. Assures collaboration with the school’s religious education and faith formation activities between the NE Seattle Catholic Parish Family.
I. Oversees the provision of quality sacramental and liturgical celebrations in collaboration with the DPM and presider. This oversight involves planning, developing, implementation and evaluation of both the Eucharist and sacramental celebrations consistent with the parish family standards.
J. Collaborates with the Pastoral Assistant for Music in the development of a comprehensive liturgical plan.
K. Coordinates the work of liturgy teams and committees, as well as the work of various liturgical ministers, including presiders, lectors, Eucharist ministers, servers, musicians, sacristans, ushers and others. Recruits, screens, trains, and supports these ministers, assuring the completion of background checks and safe environment protocol as appropriate.
L. Maintains a current level of knowledge and skills required to function in this role. Participates in appropriate local, regional and national organizations, as approved and as appropriate.
M. Performs other duties as assigned.

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.

Salary : $55,000 - $70,000
