GENERAL INTRODUCTION:
The Archbishop, visible principle of unity in his archdiocese, is called to build up the particular Church unceasingly in the communion of all its members, and to ensure that their diverse gifts and ministries, in union with the universal Church, serve to build up all the faithful and to spread the Gospel. (Apostolorum Successores 8). He must take care that all the affairs which belong to the administration of the whole archdiocese are duly coordinated and are ordered to attain more suitably the good of the portion of the people of God entrusted to him.” (Apostolorum Successores 177).
Each position employed in the Chancery helps to extend the ministry of the Archbishop in particular ways as outlined in the position description.
General Summary of Essential Purpose:
The Temporary Gift Processor is part of the Development department and is responsible for the daily processing of donations and pledges, maintaining the Raiser’s Edge donor database, ensuring the timely processing of gift acknowledgements and receipts, and providing administrative support as needed.
This position is an in-person role with a maximum of 30 hours per week from March 1 through September 1. The position will be from the office at our downtown Seattle location. Parking included.
Essential Position Duties:
Support Database Process (80%)
- Data entry and process donations
- Record management
- Demographic updates
- Research donors to gather updated donation details
- Other duties as assigned.
Acknowledgements (10%)
- Support with Donor Acknowledgement Letters and Emails
Customer Service (10%)
- Donor support as assigned.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Primary:
- Willingness and ability to support the mission of the Church by extending the ministry of the Archbishop.
- Ability and desire to use God-given gifts and talents in service of the local Church in support of the collaboration between lay and ordained Ministers.
- Familiarity of the Catholic Church.
Education and Experience:
- High School Degree required.
- Some college preferred.
- Basic understanding of MS Office tools.
- Interest in nonprofit fundraising.
- Strong self-motivation, positive, winning attitude, and energetic.
- Creativity and a sense of humor.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to handle and respect confidential and sensitive information.
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
