Position Overview
The Lead Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions and innovation. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders—this role will focus on data analysis, dashboard development, and business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data visualization, statistical analysis, and data engineering, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Experience in financial systems and Agile/SCRUM environments is a plus.

Essential Functions

• Lead the design, development, and enhancement of data-driven financial business applications for the entertainment industry.
• Drive complex data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives using Tableau, SQL, Python, and cloud-based technologies.
• Design and implement dashboards, scorecards, and data visualizations in Tableau to provide meaningful business insights.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data flows, business applications, and reporting needs.
• Follow best practices in data modeling, data engineering, and AI/ML-driven analytics to optimize data utilization.
• Conduct research and proof of concept (POC) initiatives to evaluate new BI tools and data technologies.
• Lead data governance, data validation, and quality assurance efforts to ensure accurate and reliable analytics.
• Mentor and guide junior analysts and developers, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and innovation.
• Present complex data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical audiences, effectively communicating findings and recommendations.
• Partner with engineering teams to streamline data pipelines, ETL processes, and event-driven data streaming architectures.  
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 7 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and data visualization.
• Expertise in SQL, Tableau, Python, and cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Snowflake, Apache Spark, etc.).
• Experience with ETL, data warehousing, and designing analytical reports using relational and non-relational databases.
• Strong background in event-driven and streaming data solutions to enhance business performance.
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize data workflows and reporting systems.
• Proven track record in mentoring teams, improving data processes, and driving BI strategy.
• Experience in AI/ML integration for predictive analytics and embedded solutions is a plus.
• Financial systems experience (e.g., payroll, residuals, production accounting) is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.   

Special Work Conditions    

• Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.

This role is ideal for an experienced data analytics leader who can bridge the gap between technical expertise and business strategy while driving scalable, high-impact data solutions.

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. The compensation range for this position is: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year.
