Driving Instructor Evenings and Weekends- We Will Train

405 Driving School is growing and looking to add a PART- Time (with potential for Full-time employment) Driving Instructor to help cover evenings and weekends as part of our team at our Vancouver, Washington location. We are a professional, fun, and easy-going company. This position pays $18 - $22/hour depending on experience. An ideal candidate will:

• Be dependable.
• Has experience and enthusiasm for teaching.
• Have a passion for developing young people.
• Inspire and create an interactive conversation in the classroom.
• Communicate effectively with all types of students.
• Enjoy spending part of your workday out of the office and in a car.
• Work responsibly with minimal supervision.
• Have evening and weekend availability. Ideally, 12p-8p during weekdays.
• Have some type of public speaking, coaching, teaching, customer service, or similar experience.
• Possess a high level of positive energy.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Have good attention to detail.
• Multi-lingual would be fantastic but is not required.

As a Driving Instructor you will be responsible to:

• Effectively deliver the provided driver training curriculum.
• Manage a classroom of up to 25 students.
• Accurately record student attendance and progress.
• Conduct behind-the-wheel driving lessons.
• Oversee written examinations.
• Conduct official Washington State driving exams.

Here are a few more requirements/details about the job:

• Must have a current WA driver’s license, have been driving for at least 5 years, and have a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Either hold a current WA DOL Driving Instructor certificate OR be willing to attend our training course and successfully complete the course and pass the WA Dept. of Licensing Instructor Knowledge and Road Tests.\
• Must work at least one weekend day

We provide all the mandatory training (roughly 100 hours). During training, instructors will receive $18/hour. We offer a $1,000 bonus for the successful completion of all state certifications.

405 Driving School is open 7 days a week. Scheduling for our Drive Instructors is flexible from 7 am until 8 pm. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who needs a flexible career or the opportunity to earn additional income.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
