CERTIFIED PET CARE PROVIDER – JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Certified Pet Care Provider at 406 Pet Crematory is responsible for caring for deceased pets in a respectful and dignified manner and returning cremains packages back to families and veterinary clinics. A Certified Pet Care Providers is required to maintain a professional demeanor and to handle clients with sensitivity and respect. Certified Pet Care Providers will perform a variety of duties in the field and at the crematorium and must be willing to be flexible and accommodating.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining professional and positive relationships with clients, vendors and wholesalers at pick-ups and deliveries
- Preparing pets for cremation and gathering memorial items such as locks of fur, paw prints, and personal effects with the utmost precision and care
- Tracking pick-ups, deliveries, and cremations through the 406 Pet Crematory database system
- Operating the crematorium and handling specialized equipment throughout the cremation process
- Compiling cremation packages to be delivered back to clients with a thorough attention to detail
- Cleaning and maintaining the shop, crematory, vehicles, and equipment to prolong lifetime use and operation
- Representing 406 Pet Crematory in a positive light by handling oneself professionally and courteously, and by wearing proper professional attire
- Tracking and reporting hours of time worked on the job
- Maintaining accurate expense reporting and delivering receipts and reports to the standard of the accountant
- Other duties not outlined above, per supervisor discretion
Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and transport large animals (by oneself and with the help of others)

Pay: $15.00 - $18.50 per hour
