RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership and guidance to Chemical Operators in the operation of manufacturing process equipment.

  • Ensures a safe and healthy work environment through vigilant enforcement of all applicable laws and regulation, including Evonik EHSQ and other policies.

  • Responsible for oversight of productivity on shift to achieve production targets.

  • Communicate with Maintenance as needed to ensure necessary repairs are scheduled and completed on a timely basis.

  • Create work requests in SAP, communicates and coordinates maintenance priorities and activities consistent with available resources and production schedule.

  • Communicate appropriate information to the Production Manager and Engineers, review SAP production transaction and ensure proper entries have been made.

  • Ensures appropriate supplies of PPE, Raw Materials and process supplies are available for production, so that material can be manufactured as scheduled.

  • Understand production OEE for each area and equipment, coach team to ensure these targets are met in a safe manner with good quality products being produced.

  • Organizing shift schedules for team members. Monitoring attendance, tardiness and time off.


REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma plus five years’ experience working in plant/manufacturing operations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Leadership skills like decision-making, motivation and goal setting

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional organization and time management abilities

  • Conflict resolution skills

  • Customer service skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively

  • Technical process knowledge. Able to read P&ID, perform DCS operation, basic equipment knowledge and possess the ability to learn the plant operations.

  • Expertise in safety regulations and permitting.

  • Comfortable with workplace technology like Microsoft Office applications, SAP, DCS/ HMI, Aspen and other software
