Estimated Appointment End Date (Continuous if Blank) Full/Part-Time Full time Job Type Regular Compensation 60,000.00 Job Description COUNCIL ON LAW ENFORCEMENT EDUCATION AND TRAINING JOB TITLE: FIELD REPRESENTATIVE/PRIVATE SECURITY Job Summary: Focus on interaction with CLEET's Private Security Advisory Committee (PSAC) and Private Security Licensees, Private Investigator Licensees, and Bail Enforcement Licensees. May be required to coordinate and instruct specialized continuing education courses. Conduct investigations relating to compliance matters for licensing, certification, and training. When needed, will teach in basic law enforcement academies and specialized continuing education courses in various topics. Performs other duties as assigned. Description of Tasks: This position represents CLEET as a liaison for assistance and services to the private security industry, law enforcement community, local government, and the general population. Assignments will require extensive travel and evening hours, adjusting the workweek accordingly. Assists in investigating complaints against private security companies, guards, investigators, and bail enforcement. May also be called on to assist in pre-employment background investigations and the investigation of complaints against law enforcement agencies and officers. This position will coordinate, facilitate, and instruct various subjects related to private security throughout the state. They will develop course outlines, lesson plans, and reference materials for multiple continuing education courses. They will also complete other job-related tasks prescribed by Field Representative Supervisor, Chief of Staff, Assistant Director, or Executive Director. Education and Experience: Must possess a CLEET Peace Officer certification or be eligible for Certification through Reciprocity. This position requires the possession of a valid Oklahoma driver's license. Minimum four years experience in law enforcement with at least two years experience as an Instructor and an investigator recommended. Possess a Basic Instructor Development certificate (BID) or comparable instructor certification as CLEET allows. A bachelor's degree in a Criminal Justice related field and experience in law enforcement supervision or management is desired but not required. Preference may be given to applicants with a skills instructor certification (Defensive Tactics, Firearms, Law Enforcement Driver Training). Requirements: Commissioned employees must pass a peace officer background investigation as defined in 70 OS §3311E.
