Senior BIM Modeler – Hilscher-Clarke (Canton or Pataskala, OH)

Position Overview
The Senior BIM Modeler will play a critical role in executing and managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes, ensuring efficient coordination of electrical systems in construction projects. This role requires expertise in Revit modeling, clash detection, Trimble layout procedures, and BIM coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- BIM Modeling & Coordination
- Develop and maintain accurate Revit models of electrical components, including conduits, switchgear, panelboards, transformers, control cabinets, lighting, duct banks, and electrical vaults.
- Support prefabrication efforts, ensuring seamless integration of electrical designs into project workflows.
- Collaborate with project teams to execute BIM coordination strategies efficiently.
- Technical Support & Clash Resolution
- Assist team members with Revit fundamentals, Trimble layout procedures, and compliance with electrical codes.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings, proactively identifying and resolving clashes using Navisworks.
- Work closely with other trades to develop solutions that align with project timelines and specifications.
- Project Documentation & Field Support
- Extract and analyze Revit-generated spreadsheets to support prefabrication and material planning.
- Conduct site visits to ensure project accuracy and alignment with field conditions.
- Utilize tools such as Google Analytics, Bluebeam, and BIM 360 to optimize project coordination.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks with a strong understanding of electrical systems and BIM coordination.
- Experience with BIM Collaborate Pro, Trimble layout procedures, and project management tools such as BIM 360 and Bluebeam.
- Ability to interpret contract documents and develop installation and prefabrication drawings.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Sheets, and similar applications.
