Ergonomics Director- Americas (Experienced Level Professional) Michelin is hiring! - - - - - - - - - - - - THE OPPORTUNITY Michelin has an immediate opening in for an Ergonomics Director for the Americas Zone who will be responsible for applying their leadership and expertise by facilitating networks of ergonomists within North, Central, and South America and working with the Global ergonomics team. Applying the tools and guidelines from the Global and Americas steering committee and the Michelin Environmental Management System (SMEP) to ignite progress in ergonomics across more than 30 sites. Come join our team! WHAT WILL YOU DO Guarantee that the Global Ergonomics tools, policies, and practices are adopted, and ergonomic risk levels are assessed consistently by each site. Define and prioritize the strategy for the Americas. Disseminate the progress plan through clear change management and coordination during the annual forecasting cycle including budget allocation and project tracking. Animate the network of the ergonomists or ergo leads across North, Central, and South America, ensuring the performance indicators are reliable, up to date, connected to employee well-being, and each site has actions to address gaps. Ensure that ergonomic aspects are considered in projects, during milestones, in the design or transformation of workstations (prototypes, installation of new machines, organizational evolution) Validate the ergonomists and ergo leaders in the network and that they have the necessary level of competence, certification, and integration into the network. Support the development of the skills of the new network members through training as well as applying the Michelin expectations to new affiliates or acquisitions. Consolidate feedback and good practices and ensure the sharing of this information within the Americas and Global Ergonomics network. Travel up to 30% WHAT WILL YOU BRING Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Ergonomics/Human Factors, Industrial Engineering or physiology, kinesiology (or related field) and 5 years experience Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE), or eligbile to sit for the exam Preferred at least 3 years of experience supporting manufacturing or similar environment. Effective analytical skills to objectively examine data, recognize patterns, and make connections between seemingly unrelated ideas or concepts.
