Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Supervisor for our Asphalt and Paving division. The ideal candidate will oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of asphalt paving processes and construction management.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage project schedules, allocate resources effectively, and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Utilize construction management software such as Prolog and HeavyBid for project tracking and reporting.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure work meets specifications and standards.
- Assist in budgeting and estimating project costs, providing input on resource allocation.
- Train and mentor crew members in best practices for asphalt paving techniques and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and labor hours worked.
- Ensure all OSHA regulations are followed to promote a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisor or supervisory role within the asphalt paving industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction management software; familiarity with Prolog and HeavyBid is preferred.
- Understanding of construction estimating processes and budgeting practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage conflicts effectively.
- Knowledge of quality control measures specific to asphalt paving projects.
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and specifications accurately.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with pipeline construction processes is a plus.
- Valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to construction management are advantageous.
