Position Overview :
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Activities Director to design, coordinate, and implement engaging programs for residents in our Assisted Living Facility (ALF). The ideal candidate will have a passion for enriching the lives of seniors through recreational, social, and wellness activities that promote community, joy, and a sense of purpose.
Key Responsibilities :
- Program Development :
Create and manage a diverse calendar of activities that includes recreational, educational, social, and wellness-focused events. Tailor programs to meet the physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of residents.
Encourage resident participation and actively seek feedback to enhance program offerings. Build positive relationships with residents to understand their interests and needs.
Plan and oversee special events, celebrations, and outings. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of activities.
Supervise and train activity staff and volunteers. Work closely with the caregiving team to integrate activities into the daily care schedule.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, resident preferences, and activity outcomes. Manage the activities budget and procure necessary materials and supplies.
