Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of carpentry and construction, including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and masonry. This role requires a hands-on approach to building and restoring structures, with a focus on quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Carpenter/Laborer will work on diverse projects within the restoration industry and construction sites, contributing to the successful completion of tasks while collaborating with other tradespeople.
Duties
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Perform frame carpentry tasks including building walls, floors, and roofs.
- Execute trim carpentry work such as installing moldings, doors, and windows.
- Engage in masonry work as needed for various projects.
- Assist with electrical tasks when required, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized construction site to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to complete projects on time.
- Follow all safety protocols while operating tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction painting techniques is a plus.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of electrical systems is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Experience working on roofs is an advantage
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
