4-Day Work Week

4C Health is a growing non-profit Community Mental Health Center currently serving the communities of North Central Indiana since 1975. 4C is deeply committed to increasing access to a continuum of care while integrating physical and behavioral health well-being for our staff and consumers.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing mental health treatment through individual, group, family, or conjoint therapy to referred clients on an outpatient and/or inpatient basis and provide psychological evaluations to clients relevant to presenting problem, or, such evaluation as needed by a referral source. A person in this position will participate in treatment planning with the client, report client progress to appropriate referral source, and maintain adequate and timely documentation. This position is responsible for supporting the clinical supervision needs of mid-level clinicians, interns, and practicum students. A person in this position must be willing and able to work with the target population, whether children, adolescents, or adults. This position operates under minimal supervision and must exercise tact, judgment and confidentiality in contact with the public, clients and families, as well as fellow associates of the Center. Work is very broad in scope and requires a high level of professionalism.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Includes the following. Other assignments, projects, and duties may be required

  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association (DSM) sufficient to complete a Psychological Assessment and/or assess the client’s ability to meet the diagnostic criteria as defined by the DSM.
  • Complete client assessments that include intake, evaluating a client’s ability to meet the admission criteria for that particular department, identify presenting problem(s), history, medical information, family involvement, psychosocial/psychosexual information, and other pertinent information to form an appropriate clinical impression including substance use/abuse and neglect/abuse.
  • Review and complete treatment plans, which accurately reflects the client’s needs and ability to meet discharge criteria with goals and objectives that are time limited and behaviorally stated. Treatment plans should include sufficient relevant information so that others can determine progress of the client and outcome of any assessment that was completed during the course of treatment.
  • Review and sign treatment plans for continuation/discontinuation of behavioral health services for any given client.
  • Document timely, accurately and in accordance with Center policies utilizing current systems and practices.
  • Document accurate information, which reflects client progress based on the appropriate therapeutic modality. Therapeutic services will be time limited and specific to the presenting problem(s) of each assigned consumer.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapeutic services that are time limited and specific to the assessed needs of the client.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge and competence in life span development and age appropriate developmental milestones to meet the needs of clients from all stages of life.
  • Perform psychological evaluations using the latest version of standard psychological tests.
  • Compile psychological reports that are clear, accurate, and free of psychological jargon which state specific recommendations that are in the best interest of the client while also keeping in mind the requirements of the referral source if applicable.
  • Work to maintain current license/certifications and complete the required hours of continuing education to maintain licensure.
  • Meet collaborative service goal expectations based on billable counts of services and FTE.
  • Provide supervision to clinicians pertaining to proper therapeutic techniques.
  • Provide review and signature for Center treatment plans.

Additional Compensation And Incentives

  • 4-Day (32 hour) work week
  • Eligible for $150/month ($1,800 annually) in student loan repayment
  • Earn $750 for every person you refer who is hired and remains employed for 6 months and receive an additional $500 every year as long as you both remain employed.
  • Bilingual premium available for individuals fluent in Spanish or Burmese

Education

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Ph.D. or PsyD. from a regionally accredited institution required.
  • A degree from an American Psychological Association (APA) approved school preferred, but not required.

Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the mental health field preferred.

Background Checks

  • 4C Health is a Drug-Free Workplace employer. Candidates must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Candidates must be willing to submit to comprehensive background checks, including but not limited to criminal and child protective services checks.

Necessary Skills

  • Works well under supervision as well as independently. Organizes/manages time and daily activities with little direct supervision.
  • Ability to think critically and analyze information/situations for most appropriate response.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Handles complex tasks and requests supervision when necessary.
  • Able to utilize databases and/or other electronic means to perform duties.
  • Models professionalism and teamwork internally and externally.
  • Strong people and project management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must possess verifiable superior communication skills, both oral and written.

Other

  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist, HSPP required.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain Center privileges.
  • Must have current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • Must have current CPI certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • Must have current CANS/ANSA certification of ability to obtain within 90 days.
