POSITION SUMMARY:
4C Health is a growing non-profit Community Mental Health Center currently serving the communities of North Central Indiana since 1975. 4C Health is deeply committed to increasing access to a continuum of care while integrating physical and behavioral health well-being for our staff and consumers.
Many Bachelor and Associate degree programs in social services, psychology, criminal justice require a 100-200 hour intern experience. 4C Health supports an experience that prepares you for your first position after degree completion. Bachelor and Associate level students are engaged in a semester long shadowing experience. You will be paired with existing 4C Health staff who you will shadow throughout your experience. Learn what a school-based, community-based, and DCS specialty skills trainer does! Exposure to evidence -based curriculum use, individual and group skills training, care coordination, team meetings, and field learning! When a Bachelor or Associate level student completes a semester long experience with 4C Health, student is GUARANTEED a job interview upon degree completion.
GENERAL STUDENT CLASSIFICATIONS
- Practicum Student I: A student at this stage is usually working towards an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related human services field, or a degree in nursing (including nurse practitioner students), or medical assisting and will be taking course work related to practicum experience. This would include any pre-medical college student shadowing. Supervision requirements vary but the student may shadow clinical services provided by another staff member. Practicum Student I level cannot be alone with consumers and cannot have access or document in the medical record.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend supervision on a weekly basis or more as needed or required by academic institution.
- Demonstrate understanding of Center policies as they pertain to client care.
- Abide by all Center policies and procedures.
- Maintain positive working relations and rapport with the communities served.

Requirements:
A student working towards a associate or bachelor's degree in psychology or a related human services field who will be taking course work related to practicum experience.
