POSITION TITLE: Regional Branch Manager

POSITION PURPOSE
Oversees, implements, monitors and directs sales and service operations within an assigned geographic region. Ensures established policies and procedures are followed and credit union strategies and goals are implemented across the branch network. Trains, coaches, and supervises branch manager(s).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of branch operations.
- Ensure branch personnel have the knowledge and resources to provide excellent member service and promote meaningful solutions to our members.
- Ensures operations are conducted in accordance with established credit union policies and within legal and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for implementing and monitoring short and long term strategic goals for the branch network.
- Identify process improvement opportunities or process inconsistencies and collaborate to resolve.
- Ensures optimal and effective staffing levels for proper utilization of human resources. Ensures teams are well trained in respective job duties.
- Communicates changes to established policies and procedures within the branch and ensures branch teams are informed and understand credit union policies and procedures.
- Works closely with Operations team to ensure optimal product knowledge and needs based selling results.
- Measures and reports on sales and service performance standards to ensure branch performance improvement initiatives are implemented and managed effectively.
- Effectively supervises branch leadership, ensuring optimal performance.
- Provides leadership through effective objective setting, coaching, 4DX and SMART model planning.
- Directly supervises Branch Manager personnel within assigned region. Ensures high quality work and efficiency in operations are maintained. Determines work methods and flow through assigning, directing, coordinating, and reviewing goals, tasks and performance.
- Conducts regular meetings with Branch leaders to inform and train.
- Partners with executive leadership to ensure the credit union initiatives and goals are communicated and implemented across the branch network.
- Monitor and assess individual performance. Formulates and implements corrective actions as needed and makes recommendations for employee compensation, promotion and separation, as appropriate.
- Holds branch teams accountable and promotes engagement for optimal productivity.
- Co/Hosts branch, region and organization-wide meetings to provide ongoing sales and service consultations throughout the retail branch network.
- Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective, professional business relations with members.
- Ensures members' requests and questions are promptly resolved. Handles escalated transaction and branch member complaints. May provide counsel to members regarding financial needs and services.
- Ensures branch team members are informed of credit union services and policies.
- Ensures the credit union's quality reputation is maintained and positively projected.
- Represents the credit union in the branch community and region.
- Assumes responsibility for the efficient and effective administration of branch functions.
- Ensures branch operations are well coordinated with other departments (i.e. lending, finance, eServices, etc.)
- Manages and oversees expenses. Keeps accurate payroll and attendance records.
- Continually seeks ways to improve branch operations and productivity to meet established goals.
- Prepares periodic branch activity reports and makes recommendations to management for improvements.
- Ensures proper maintenance and general housekeeping of the building, grounds, work areas, desks, and equipment is carried out, including snow and ice removal. Institutes prudent safety measures.
- Ensures adequate supplies, forms, and equipment are available for personnel.
- Keeps management informed of branch activities, progress toward established objectives, and of any significant problems.
- Assumes responsibility for related functions as required or assigned.
- Fills in and performs in branch duties as needed.
- Attends assigned training sessions and stays current on new operational products, services and procedures.
- Comply with the U.S. Patriot Act and the Credit Union’s Bank Secrecy and OFAC Policies and Procedures.
- Comply with the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act and the Credit Union’s Information Security program, maintaining the privacy and security of information, Systems and locations.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
- Branch services are efficiently and effectively delivered in accordance with established 4Front Credit Union policies and standards.
- Current member accounts are accurately maintained and/or expanded. Good business relationships exist with members and their questions and problems are promptly resolved.
- Branch personnel are well trained and efficient, and their activities well coordinated.
- Required reports and records are accurate and timely.
- Management is appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Suggestions are provided for improved efficiency and effectiveness in operations.
- Good working relationships, DEI and collaborative initiatives exist with CU personnel.
- Branch transactions, loan volumes, expenses, and profitability align with Credit Union standards.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school graduate or equivalent. Additional college coursework in business or finance preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Thorough knowledge of Credit Union services and products.
- Understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with Branch functions, policies, and procedures.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: At least five years of related experience in a financial institution, with a minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Strong interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills.
- Well organized.
- Ability to operate related computer applications and related business equipment.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain an effective and efficient workflow.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Frequent Travel is required within the assigned branch network.
