POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant General Manager collaborates with the General Manager to help oversee the daily operation of the dispensary. This position requires a strong leader who is willing to provide exceptional service to our guests and support to all the employees while leading by example with a hands-on approach. This role requires general knowledge of all types of cannabis products, along with being comfortable speaking to large groups of people. Priorities include providing the GM with all departmental updates including employee performance, sales / product trends, and guest / vendor relations while ensuring all the employee needs are handled proactively. When the GM is not present at the location, the AGM will represent the dispensary as the main point of contact for all matters related to law enforcement, media, and the guests.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIRES
Ensure the site is in full compliance with all local and state laws while assisting with regulatory inspections
Work cross-functionally through the operation and maintain a hands-on "lead by example" approach
Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed by all employees in the unit
Assist with creating, running, and analyzing management, inventory, purchasing, and financial reports
Assist with properly training designated cash handlers on all cash flow / intake procedures
Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure all financial records and reporting follow compliance
Aid with managing, troubleshooting, auditing, and maintaining all POS, inventory, and security systems
Ensure all areas and workstations of the dispensary are kept cleaned and organized
Ensure service and product offerings are excellent and the highest level of hospitality is achieved
Help create a strong presence throughout the community while generating brand awareness
Implement and manage all Company policies and procedures
Oversee the hiring, training, coaching, and development of employees
Oversee department schedules and ensure they are maintained based on the operational needs of the unit
Delegate, manage, and empower the team to achieve an optimal performance
Align with the General Manager to set, meet, and manage all financial and operational goals
Assist in any and all areas to ensure the team, department, and company division maintain success
SCHEDULE
Full shift availability (nights, weekends, and holidays required)
COMPENSATION
60,000-$64,000 annually, DOE
QUALIFICATIONS
21 and currently residing in the USA
High School Diploma or GED
Dispensing Organization Agent Identification Card (obtained upon hire)
Bachelor's Degree in Business or industry training equivalent (preferred)
Assistant Manager / General Manager experience, 2 years (preferred)
Retail experience, 4 years (preferred)
Cannabis industry experience, 4 years (preferred)
Guest service experience, 3 years (preferred)
Inventory management experience, 3 years (preferred)
Team building & management experience, 3 years (preferred)
NOTE : The facility contains confined spaces that may only be accessible by ascending / descending stairwells while traveling throughout building.
