Job Summary:
Healthcare Associates is now seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead and oversee all operations and functions of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership, ensure high-quality patient care, and drive performance improvement initiatives. This role requires a dynamic leader who can foster a collaborative team environment, optimize resources, and maintain excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Provide 24/7 accountability for ICU nursing and support resources.
✅ Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
✅ Develop and implement standards of care and nursing practices.
✅ Oversee staffing plans to maintain optimal patient care coverage.
✅ Monitor and manage department operations to enhance efficiency and minimize costs.
✅ Drive quality improvement initiatives and monitor patient satisfaction outcomes.
✅ Act as a liaison between patients, staff, and physicians to ensure high-quality care.
✅ Develop, communicate, and implement policies and procedures while ensuring compliance.
✅ Lead performance management efforts including feedback, annual reviews, and staff development.
✅ Collaborate with Human Resources to address employee relations and labor management concerns.
✅ Build a culture of teamwork, mentorship, and professional growth within the ICU.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a clinical discipline required
- Master's degree in Clinical, Business, or Healthcare Management preferred
Certifications (Required & Preferred):
✔ BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS required (PALS & NIHSS within 90 days of hire)
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of acute care hospital experience
- At least 2 years of management/leadership experience required
- Critical care leadership experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $90,000 (Depends on Experience)
