Music / Entertainment Social Media Manager

This individual will oversee daily social media output for a variety of music / entertainment, comedy, and non-profit clients. The Social Media Manager is expected to know the ins and outs of all social media platforms, software, and best practices. This is a great opportunity for a creative, fiercely independent, and curious person who is excited about developing conversation starters, campaigns, and content to engage with a variety of different clients.Duties : Maintain a keen understanding of some of the latest happenings inside of the music / entertainment / comedy industries, its history, the current news, and benchmark against top-performing social media creators in the sectorWrite in multiple voices, from newsy to humorous, and tailor content according to both message and mediumWrite posts that are accurate, clear, concise, and engaging for a variety of clientsWork with a team of designers, video editors, and animators to ideate around graphic and video concepts and script out contentProvide substantive feedback, from style to readability to copyediting to overall compellingness, on social media graphics and videos with the purpose of elevating the finished productOversee and implement on a range of Social Media Manager dutiesMaintain and schedule posts on social media software (Buffer, Hootsuite, META’s Creator Studio etc)Ideate, create, and post compelling Instagram StoriesIdeate, create, and post compelling TikTok contentIdeate, create, and post compelling Twitter threadsSet up and host Twitter Spaces and Instagram Live eventsLive tweet events and Twitter SpacesEngage with the community –from quote tweets to replies–across Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and FacebookSelf-copy edit at a high levelAssess social media analytics and make pivots based on dataHave a pulse of the music / entertainment / comedy markets and what sentiment is like throughout the daySchedule out evergreen content and identify what solid evergreen content isAnalyze and identify any weaknesses in client's social media and digital marketing strategy and move to implement improvementsAssess how your posts are doing in real time and make micro pivots in how you are writing throughout the dayAbility to live on Twitter, Instagram, and other social media platforms, have your finger on the news and trend pulse, and jump on topics before other accounts doChime into conversations in your client’s voiceAbility to ask deep questions via quote tweet or reply, post polls in comments, chime in with the brand’s voice on a crypto hot topic, or elevate breaking news with a compelling quote tweet or IG Story shareSkills & Requirements : Expert knowledge of a variety of social media platforms, particularly Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok2 years writing social media video scripts3 years of experience creating social media copy and content, ideally with an agency setting3 years of experience overseeing social media staff and implementing digital campaignsPrior experience within the crypto / blockchain industry is required, whether in a professional or personal capacity.Comfort quickly switching gears and focus, moving from social media posting to content creation to campaign building throughout the dayExcellent written communication skills and superb English skillsGreat editing skills and attention to detailStrong leadership skillsExcellent organization and time management skillsStrong client relations and collaboration skillsStrategic communication skillsExcellent presentation and stakeholder management skillsHow to Apply : Please submit your resume, cover letter, and any relevant work samples or case studies that demonstrate your experience in influencer marketing within the music and entertainment industry.
