Job Summary
The CBM (Condition-Based Maintenance) Specialist 2 is responsible for monitoring and evaluating plant equipment performance to identify potential issues or failures. This role involves collecting and analyzing condition monitoring data , providing expert guidance to plant teams, and leveraging tools like Maximo to document and track equipment condition and maintenance actions. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of related experience and a strong background in predictive maintenance technologies within an industrial setting .
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate plant equipment condition using technologies such as:
Vibration analysis
Oil analysis
Infrared thermography
Motor testing
Utilize Maximo to record and manage:
CBM technology examinations
Maintenance recommendations
Equipment assessments
Case histories
Provide maintenance and operational guidance in area of expertise.
Communicate equipment findings and recommendations with Plant Management and cross-functional teams .
Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors to analyze acceptance data on new or rebuilt equipment.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
Two-year technical degree and/or four years of experience in maintenance, operations, or a related industrial role preferred.
5–10 years of experience in a related field is required.
Certifications
Category I or II Vibration Analyst certification preferred .
Other relevant certifications in Oil Analysis, Infrared Thermography, or Motor Testing will also be considered.
Technical & Analytical Skills
Ability to operate and interpret data from electronic field equipment and diagnostic tools .
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, OIS, and Maximo .
Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in industrial environments, including in extreme weather conditions .
Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevated heights .
