Data Visualization Engineer
Location : Birmingham, AL
Contract- 3 years
Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually compelling data visualizations.
Write efficient SQL queries to extract, transform, and manipulate data from various sources.
Implement and manage Medallion architecture , including Bronze, Silver, and Gold tables.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data visualizations that meet business needs.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all visualizations.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data visualization and analytics.
Qualifications
3 years of experience as a Data Visualization Engineer or in a similar role.
Proficiency in SQL for querying, transforming, and manipulating datasets.
Strong understanding of Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold tables).
Experience integrating data from multiple sources and creating meaningful visualizations.
Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, D3.js) Note : Candidates must be more advanced than a rudimentary Power BI user; spreadsheet experience alone is not sufficient.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R .
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
