Job Summary :
1. The role involves maintaining and troubleshooting computers, servers, peripherals and applications under direct supervision.
2. Implements consistent procedures and standards for system maintenance in consultation with the Information Systems staff.
3. Responsible for QA planning / tracking, reporting for projects, and execution of test lifecycle deliverables to ensure successful Test Strategy / plan implementation for the Georgia Dept. of Transportation (GDOT).
4. Experience in testing custom applications and GIS components is required.
5. The role involves actively interacting with various teams and creating, documenting, and executing test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
6. The individual is expected to operate in an Agile approach to support testing needs and ensure that test cases are properly formulated, following QA standards.
7. Close collaboration with business partners, PMO, and Vendor technical delivery teams is essential to understand business requirements.
8. Responsibilities also include assisting in the development of UAT test scenarios, participating in defect triage meetings and demos, and reporting weekly status to Quality Assurance Testing Lead.
9. Minimum educational requirement is a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or similar.
10. At least three years of experience with testing in software development projects is required.
11. The candidate must have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
12. Additional skills include the ability to review and analyze system specifications, perform manual and / or automated testing, and identify missing test cases for efficient Test Coverage.
13. Experience with GitHub, ServiceNow, TFS, JIRA is required.
14. Preferred training or software testing certifications such as International Software Testing Qualifications Board, Certified Test Engineer (CSTE), Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST) are a plus.
15. The position is subject to annual budget restrictions and is anticipated to be renewed on July 1st.
16. The pay range for the candidate is $39.92- 43.00 per hour.
