Overview
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in low voltage systems and demonstrate proficiency in both technical and mechanical tasks. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including security alarms, fire alarms, and communication systems.
  • Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to diagnose issues and ensure proper functionality.
  • Conduct field service operations, responding to service calls and performing on-site troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide effective solutions for their low voltage system requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all installations and repairs.
  • Provide training to clients on the operation of installed systems as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role in the field service or service technician capacity.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools and equipment.
  • Proficiency in computer hardware and networking concepts related to low voltage systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical principles and safety practices associated with low voltage installations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues using voltmeters and ohmmeters.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
